Sleeved Cables

Go to solution Solved by Roscoe,

I would suggest making your own extensions or alternatively (if you are careful and make a wire diagram) wire the psu cables directly; it is a lot cheaper and is a great skill to have, you may even manage to persuade some of your friends to pay you to do it for them. Also the quality you can achieve though doing it yourself is much better and allows a lot more customisation options then  pre-made cables by say bitfenix or even the extension kit you can get from EVGA (although I hear they are pretty good as well), unless you buy them some someone such as Lutro0 Customs etc.

Speaking of which on Lutro0's youtube you will find all the tutorials you may need if you decide to follow this path - https://www.youtube.com/user/lutro0

Best of luck!

Hello! I can't find an answer to my question on google so I came here to the forums. So I have an EVGA Supernova 750G1 PSU and want to get sleeved cables. My PC theme is white and black, since my PC case is black I want to get as many white accents as possible so now I'm looking into sleeved cables. On EVGA's website there are some but they are not white. There are also some for the 750G2 that are white but I'm not sure if they will work on PSU. So my question is where can I find white sleeved cables for my PSU for under 200$. I have also thought of getting 2 extension cables and putting them on each end of the cable, would this work because if it does I think it would be the most cost-effective method. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

you can use extensions and they work fine if you have the space to hide all the excess.  You could try sleeving them yourself, there are plenty of guides on how to do it although I've never done it myself.

No the G2 cables won't work on the G1. They are a different platform altogether.

Thanks that answered almost all my questions but my last one is can I use an extension cable on each side of the cable. One plugging in the mobo the other plugging in the PSU.

not really...its technically possible, but not really.

You'd need to buy cables specifically for your psu, so you might as well just get a good set of cables and use no extensions.

Ok thanks, now all I need are PSU cables and LEDs. Today I used a black permanent marker and coloured the fan blades of my noctua fans black and spray painted the casing white. Tapping the fans was almost a day long thing. Thank god for Netflix!

Haha sounds like things are moving along! Yeah as djdwosk97 said, it isn't advisable to add extensions at either end because the introduction of extensions inherently disrupts the voltage some what (adding some ripple ect.), also a lot if manufacturers (not sure about the supernova) use a preparatory connector design to stop you plugging your cables in the wrong way! So I would just do the one set and if the cables are bothering you at the bottom you can always do a small mod and add a cable box around them so you don't see them anyway...
