What brands are available there?
I might be familiar with some of them...

Moto E is good but lacks auto-focus camera and a front cam. Asphalt 8 won't run very smoothly on the Moto E. If that doesn't matter a lot then go for it. If you can extend your budget then get the Moto G for overall better android experience.

What is your budget?

Minecraft: Pocket Edition is intolerable for me because Multiplayer is only possible through that overpriced shit known as Realms.

if you are open to other OS, Lumia 525 or 630 would be my recommendation. Got any Oppo phone in India? i went to have a look at them today and surprisingly even the low end Oppo Joy operates quite smooth and fluid. And it is only like $110 here.

here is a link to amazon india and flipcart india

amazon: http://www.amazon.in

flipcart: http://www.flipkart.com/motorola/motoe

these are the online shops in india.

Browsed through the amazon site...

LG L60 (August 2013 release) or Huwawei Ascend Y600 (surprisingly smooth when I tried one in-store, not too impressive though)...

The Karbonn ones seem familiar but I haven't tried any of their units...

It's not flagship level, but it's better than most of the 100USD crap that is sold in my country...

If there's an Alcatel in your choices, do not buy it... My mother uses an Alcatel OneTouch Idol (?) and it heats up pretty quickly... Battery life is crappy, and it's slightly sluggish...

The L60 has a decent SoC... Again, it's not flagship level, but it should run most of what you're planning to do with it at an acceptable performance level...

The Huawei one is a step below the L60, but they're pretty much on the same level...

I'd suggest Gionee if I've tried them already... Too bad the local shops won't bring out live samples...

For the LG, I think it can last 2-3 days with light usage... (estimate based on experience with an L3 E400R which can last up to 4 days on a single charge)

For the Huawei, somewhere around 2 days...

I'm not sure how it would compare to the moto E since I haven't seen one here...
