Not always getting emails?

I'm damn sure others are subscribed to topics all over this site, but when the topics get new posts do you all (always?) get e-mails from them?  I should get emails (instantly) from one of the topics in the GPU forum, but I don't. The little time I was here when it was VB, I don't think I ever got a email ever. I have gotten some emails since the switch to IPB.
