BSOD irql_not_less_or_equal

Hey guys,

so I've trying to troubleshoot this myself for the past month with no success.

I ve been getting this irql_not_less_or_equal erorr, which i belive to be a driver error but after I did a clean install of windows and got the drivers from the asus website and it still happens and only stops after I remove 2 sticks of ram (which I just recently purchased a new set ).

my systems specs are

 

Intel 3930k

Asus Rampage Extreme IV

G.Skill 16GB Trident X @2400mhz

HD6970 CF

Corsair tx850w

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

Currently no OC, I have the Trident x now, but had the G.skill Ripjaw x previously

Yeah I have tried every stick in every combination still could only have 2 sticks, i have cleared the cmos twice since i did the fresh install (which was tonight)

 I got the same error error yesterday with a single stick

so the kit i had first was the F3-10666CL9Q-16GBXL

 and the kit i have now is the F3-2400c10q-16GTX

Current Vcore voltage is 1.220v

Also what's your voltage on CPU?

stock, because I'm keeping my cpu @stock

Force them to boot at 1333 MHz with this latencies

so its been running at that for 5 mins now no error, ill try some games and stuff and see if it happens again. Sorry still getting used to using forums. (yes i have been living under a rock, on mars, with my finger in my ears)

Yeah, i just wanted 2400mhz for braging rights atm haha. do you think its because i only have 4 dimm slots running?

Nope, it's fine, but at those those speeds and latencies (1333 MHz 9-9-9-24) you'd be able to mix them.

I'd like to have a 2011 platform ;-;

My issue it that i m addicted to pc building, the worlds most expensive and fragile lego ever lol
