PC Random Crashes

Im getting random crashes when playing demanding video games or non demanding such as Hearthstone, it just happens randomly, i tried to update the vbios and update the drivers using the ones that are provided with the card or updating directly from Nvidia website without extras such as 3d. I tried stress testing with Furmark and Heaven benchmark, i reach 81C without crashes.

 

PC Specs

Asus X79-Deluxe

Asus GTX 770 OC

Intel i7 4930k

G.Skill Sniper 2133 2x8GB

Corsair RM850

Windows 8.1

Have you overlclocked? If so, it may not be stable. Otherwise it could be your temperatures, use GPU Temp and Core Temp to monitor your temperatures. It may be dust in the case or you motherboard thats causing issues. You need to test and try and find more information.

No its not OCed also the build is fairly new a month old or so.

try swapping the slot where the RAMs are installed

 

also run a memtest

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Run MemTest at your current settings and at XMP advertised speeds.

 

Also, have you tried running with only 1 stick at a time? I know cutting your RAM in half to test it sucks, but it's 8GBs...you'll be more than fine.

Also, have you tried running with only 1 stick at a time? I know cutting your RAM in half to test it sucks, but it's 8GBs...you'll be more than fine.

Just in case i needed to change my ram, do you recommend any that works well with X79Deluxe mobo?

you will have to refer to your manual for the suggested RAMs

 

since you are running a X79

 

invest in the quad channel kits which are made for the X79

 

pick the RAM with speed of 1600-1866MHz with low CAS

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

did you test them together or one by one?

yes i did, i played BF4 first time on my PC it crashed after 10 mins of playing twice.

ok try swapping the GPU on another slot to test

 

if that fails

 

try the GPU on another PC
