Any must have mods? And I'm having trouble installing 3DNPC, any help with that aswell please. I tried manually moving the files to their destination but I'm not sure if it's working since this is the first time I actually play this game.

Currently have those mods installed: http://i.imgur.com/lIpVoX0.png

Any tips for a newb aswell? How do I get a property in whiterun for example

Any housing mods that work correctly?

To get a property in whiterun I believe you must kill a dragon (in one of the quests they give you) and be recognized as the dragonborn, I think you may also have to do some stuff with the greybeards first, though it will tell you when you can purchase a home. (Its the 2nd one on the right when you enter whiterun)

I've forgotten some of this stuff as I have not played much recently :/

Also live another life is a big one for me, the usual start of skyrim just gets boring after going through it a few times, this mod lets you change it up a bit.

perhaps take a look at mod 22 on http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/top/? :P (nsfw)

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I'll check out the mods after I woke up since It's 3 AM, and I've already killed the dragon and I'm recognized as the dragonborn. The king or w/e he is even said I can purchase property in whiterun or (not sure if I remember this correctly) even get one for free. I'm trying to get to the greybeards but I can't reach it.

Thank you! I'll check them all out tomorrow and see which ones I like

One that's really good that came out recently is Arena Frontier. It adds cities that were in Skyrim in the first elder scrolls game to Skyrim, with the logic of "with dragons attacking repopulate ancient cities"

Alright sweet, do you know how I could install 3dNPC properly? I'm having some issues with it and I don't know if it's working properly if at all

http://pastebin.com/tnb9FbUv

Interesting NPCs takes like 15 minutes to install due to sheer size and assets changed. Leave it. It may fail once or twice.

It fails everytime. Now it says I have insufficient storage available. I have 80GB left on the HDD skyrim is installed on along with the nexusmodmanager.

I've copied like 75% of the mods you gave me (Took me like 8 hours  ) Now skyrim crashes...

I googled a bit and they said 'Download TES5Edit' It basically loads the mods and checks for incompatability issues. It gives me an error saying this: Fatal: <Exception: "Dawnguard.esm" requires master "Update.esm" to be loaded before it.>

Did you sort everything with LOOT? The problem is that Dawnguard requires you to have the latest update patch (update.esm) to be loaded ahead of it, since dawnguard has dependencies on any update of skyrim.\

http://loot.github.io/ here is LOOT, the successor to BOSS.

Also if you get Skyrim Redone then you will need to install a reproccer, Skyrim Redone changes the damage values for everything. For example a steel sword will now be a Steel Broadsword and do 30 dmg instead of 11. Then some mods make weapons, which still sit at the default dmg value, being like 13 or so. So they are horribly weak. The reproccer essentially makes a patch for them. If you need any help with setting it up just tell me :)

If you don't get Skyrim Redone then don't worry about the above paragraph. But still get LOOT.

Basically run LOOT and let it apply, which I linked a few times, then run TES5Edit to make sure everything can load.

Some mods and DLCs have dependencies and some things need to be loaded first, LOOT is basically a repository of mods to be loaded before other mods. Not quite like that, but similar.

Oh thanks, what I'm basically doing is just keep loading TES5Edit all the time, see what error he gives, and sort it out with NMM. But I'll let LOOT run

Use LOOT as a starting point, and then do what you said. I use LOOT, TES5Edit, Wrye Bash, A Script Scalpel, and Save de-bloaters (that don't work too well). For basic modding like this LOOT and TES5Edit are god-tier.

What are those 'dirty' mods? http://i.imgur.com/zSRRRkV.png

I'll try to explain dirty edits to the best of my ability and knowledge:

Say I am Cabal, a well known mod maker responsible for the amidianborn set. I only do models and retextures, I don't touch damage values in any way for that mod. But I feel like, for some ungodly reason, going into the creation kit and putting the damage value of a daedric sword up to 500. I accidentally save that in my mod, even though my mod has little to nothing to do with damage values.

To my understanding that is what a dirty edit is. Don't worry about it too much unless you end up crashing. Also some "dirty plugins" are false positives. Which 4 or 5 of yours are, if you went off of my list.
