DGX no sound

So I got a new soundcard after my Forte broke.  I decided to go for a cheap one until I feel the need for a better one. Anyways, I install te sound card and driver from the ASUS page and the card shows up in the Playback devices menu, but no sound. So I go ahead and install the UNi Xonar driver. Upon opening the DGX Audio Center, I have a bunch of options to mess around with. So I have music play in the background, no sound tho. I switch between the different output settings, from Headphones to 2 Speaker, 4 Speaker and finally 5.1. Voila, at 5.1 I get audio in my left ear. 

I go to check if I plugged in the jacks the right way, and see that I accidentally put the mic jack in the Side audio instead of mic. Fix it, and now there is no audio on any setting O.o

 

Any suggestions are welcome :)

You using the Asus drivers? If so, try the UNi Xonar drivers. Download r1.64 r2 from here. It's the latest stable release. Asus's driver support is shite for their soundcards.

Why not the stable version, which is 1.64?  :huh:

 

Also, sorry for missing that - posted shortly after i woke up, may have been too tired to notice. A lot of people with these cards have issues with Asus's official drivers so i always recommend UNi Xonar drivers to them.

 

Btw, you just using a 2.1/5.1 setup?

Installed the stable version. 

I fixed it, but I don't wanna say how  :unsure:
