Error on AMDs part or not?

I was getting ready to download the drivers for the low-profile X1300 I'm thinking strongly about getting, but I noticed something off about the download.

They're for Vista. Now, I know I could run them in compatibility mode, but I really don't want to do that, as I need something that will work without any problems for a pretty long time, and is fully compatible with Windows 7 out of the box. Will I need to go newer, or not? This is the card I'm looking at.

Yup. Since my poor Dell's iGPU isn't supported by Windows 7, I basically have to do all video stuff on the CPU. Browsing the web is a nightmare. But the old beast folds like a boss.

Damn it, fold. I'm folding on my grandma's A6 (CPU only, idle, full), and my Dell when it's cool enough (CPU, full).

I started, I made an account (I joined the LTT team) and began, but I have the reference 670 with the crappy tiny pcb and awful cooler, it was getting very hot like 80+ it got me shook so I stopped it, I don't want it to run that hot 24/7 I don't have much faith in the power circuitry to cook for hours on end and not die.

 

The CPU was fine tho, maybe I will get rid of the 670 and put a card with a better cooler on it.

 

Is Nvidia or AMD better at folding?

Not sure. All I know is my P4 kicks ass. :D
