The title pretty much says it all.

I have had my Pi for abou 6 months now and it has been running Raspmc without a hitch.

It can do almost anything, I have got a 1 TB portable HDD plugged into it and it runs transmission almost 24/7 and it never complains, at all.

It did take some tinkering to get working 100% but now I can't imagine living without it. Reading this you might question why I even posted this, but I really just want to help people like I got helped when I started using mine.

My setup : Pi - HDMI - Sony 42" - Optical - Random Soundbar.

Pi : Wireless dongle, 32 GB SDCard and a 1TB storage.

I have tested and AirPlay through my iPad and it works quite good.

Transmission bottlenecks? 2 torrents downloading and 3 uploading is the limit.

Raspbmc supports your TVs remote, I.E just like your normal TV menu.

Raspbmc does not support .WMV files.

Using SSH you can install all sorts of stuff. (I.E a Mumble VoIP server)

Transmission a torrent client for Linux and Raspbmc is based on Debian.

Got questions? Ask away.

(Omw to a meeing, quite bored. Gimme all of your stupid questions. ALL OF THEM!)

Talk to me about the types of files you're playing back on the Pi. Bitrate? Codec? Container? What audio codecs?

It's my understanding that the Pi can't do HD Audio (TrueHD and DTS-HD MA), as it doesn't have the processing power to handle it.

I've also heard that the Pi can struggle with higher bit-rate video files, such as high-rate blu-ray rips.

How has your experience been in comparison to these scenarios?

I have had no problem running any BRips what-so-ever. Well there is some slight lag when starting the file. Other than that I can tell you that with an uptime of 4 days and 14 hours of running transmission and let us say 20 hours of that running 1080p playback everything is still running quite smooth. The audio from what I can tell is silky smooth, at least as silky smooth as my soundbar can perform. Now, ofc it will struggle with the heavier files, but for the amount of money I have spendt on it, I can allow that.

English is not my first language and I am quite tierd. So I do apoligize for any misshaps and what not.
