Does it weaken/loosen over time like tubing?

Its is actually the strongest tubing.

 

The only issue with it is having to set it up.

The only issue with it is having to set it up.

Not sure about that, there are metal tubing variants that can't be cut with household cutters like tygon can be. But in terms of the plastic-like tubing, it's up there in terms of reliability.

Metal is piping.

It can also be called tubing, especially when it's shaped similar to that of plastic-like tubing.

Is the community taking to calling acrylic tubing 'crystal link' in general?

It confuses me because 'crystal link' is a bitspower multi-gpu solution, using acrylic tubing..

I reccommed getting your acrylic tubing from e22 you can choose your sizes unlike crysal link http://www.e22.biz/E22tubing2.aspx

First time I've seen that site, looks really nice.

 

I know Primochill are going to be doing acrylic tubing and fittings soon too.
