Looking for New Headphones

Go to solution Solved by Guest Kloaked,

I have a pair of HD 280's and they're pretty good. If you can get them for less than $100 then gg

So recently my sister ripped my headset in two and I'm in need for new headphones. I've been eyeing the Sennheiser HD 280 pro's. Are they any good? These will be used for both music listening and gaming. I mainly listen to jazz, movie/videogame soundtracks and classical if that helps

Also, any other recommendation would be good too  :D

I havent tried the 280's but I have a pair of hd 518's and they're pretty great for the money (assuming $80ish budget?) . But they have an open design and they bleed A LOT so really not good for public use at all. If theyre staying tethered to your computer though then i recommend those.

He broke some keycaps and switches. I rma'd it and the new one is just a good. Today I sold it and my sensei raw for $230. RGB upgrade will only be $20. :)

Would I be able to use these at night or is the sound bleed really bad?

Just read some reviews and most of them compare these to beats and how much better they are than beats. Don't know if its a good or bad thing  :P

Yea, it is. These are like beats but without the overly done bass and drowned out mids.

I can get a pair for $75 so I'm going to get these

Just be aware that they're more of a flat sound signature. They do have some boost in the low and the low-mid a bit, but nothing crazy. They're decent for what they are. I just wish the cushions were better on them. I may replace mine like I did with the ATH-M50s :P

They're okay. They're a good value since you can replace the cable if something happens out of warranty - other IEM's cost a bit more for that feature. The replacement cable does cost about $30 though.

Sound-wise they're somewhat flat with a bit of emphasis on the bass. The sound stage is small, but you're not going to get full on headphone soundstage with IEM's in this price range anyways.

I originally bought these to use in a band performance setting, but we're not playing that much anymore so I just use them with my phone and Spotify, and they sound alright. I may end up getting something different soon though, since I feel strange walking around school with IEM's on. I'd rather have some fun-sounding IEM's (with more emphasis on the lower-end bass and a bit more on the mid-highs.

Sounds like I might pick these up later down the line
