Laptops Without Bloatware

Go to solution Solved by Builder,

It's not that I don't like it, it's that I'm just starting university and all the software I'm going to be required to use is offered for free but only in Windows.

Wow. That really sucks.

I don't know mate, basically all PC manufacturers put bloat on their machines. It's part of what you pay for with a Mac. Honestly I'd buy a Mac and run Windows in VMware Fusion for the Windows apps. Obviously, it costs more, but if you seriously don't want any bloat, it might be the only way short of wiping a laptop and reinstalling Windows from scratch.

Hello, looking for a laptop vendor that doesn't include bloatware or at least includes the option to pay a premium to not have it included. I know I can buying a retail copy of Windows isn't an option with the Windows 8 drm policies so please don't suggest that. It took me about a week to get Win8 retail on my current laptop.

MacBook Air, MacBook Pro.

I think Vizio makes laptops without bloatware too, but for the most part it's an important function of PC companies.

Vizio don't even sell any more or at least I can't find any on their website. Buying a Mac would be counter productive considering I'll only be using Windows so I'll essentially have a whole OS lying around, not being used, OS Bloat :/

Cheers for the quick response anyway.

I know I can, that's not the issue. The problem is I want a laptop without bloatware to begin with. Again cheers for the advise but it's not what I'm looking for.

so you'd rather pay a premium for a laptop with no bloatware rather than removing it with just a couple clicks?

Yup, I've tried so many bloat removers and they never get all of it. If I ever format my computer I have to do it all again and I'm one of these people who values my time and lack of stress over money.

Then buy a Mac.

No... Seriously not looking for an argument here. I spend all of my time in Windows so why would I want Mac OS lying around hogging up space? That's almost as bad as bloatware. I've already said all of this.

What don't you like about Mac OS? If you seriously value time more than money, I'm almost sure that most people on this forum would even agree with me.

Cheers for the advise, I have a while before I actually buy the laptop so I'm going to keep a look out for something but that solution does sound best.

Great. You should always find as many opinions as possible on a subject. That's the only way to be sure.
