I'm looking to sell an Alienware from late 2012 on ebay, but am not sure how much money to ask. Here are the specs:

17.3" 1080p 60hz display

180gb intel ssd + 500gb hdd

intel core i7 3610qm

and gtx 660m

it has an extra charger and a sweet orion messenger bag that usually goes for around 100$ new

It was listed for 30 days at 1400$ and got a few watchers but eventually didn't sell. How much would you expect to pay for something like that?

See how cheap the same model (to spec) is. Add $30-50 to that.

Best option would be with a hammer? and by that I mean smash it.

1000 bucks is already pushing it hard, you can get new gaming notebooks with an i7 and a GTX 760M GPU for $1000, which are thinner, lighter and have new components. Screen, battery, fans and storage degrade over time.

IMO it doesn't worth over $800

True, if I ever buy a gaming notebook again (it's unlikely) hopefully it will have better resale value. I regret ever buying an alienware.
