Hey, the question is simple! Which R9 290X is the BEST, in PERFORMANCE and FPS wise!

I will play the new games, BF Hardline, Watch Dogs, and everything to come out in 2015!

I'm streaming every day, many AAA games, to entertain people and to get a hang of games that others are unable to play or want to see before they buy.

Sapphire Vapor X

Also, will a SuperFlower 550W GOLD 80+ PSU be enough for this GPU combined with an i7-4790K?

I would definately recommend 750W, or if you want to XFire later 850.

The vapor-x is the best, I just wanted to say that the R9 290 offers better value at the moment with very close performance.

I will go with this as I need a longer lasting system, but according to you will a 550W GOLD PSU be enough?

I'd say go for at least 600 to be safe, but if you already have the psu then it costs you nothing to try ^^ if everything works fine there's no reason to upgrade it. As for the performance difference, it's really just about 2-3 fps, it won't really last you any longer than a 290.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

When buying a PSU, all you need to worry about is the GPU. You don't have to take the CPU into consideration. All of your big name high quality PSUs can handle any CPU at any wattage. The reason why you need to take your GPU into consideration is because not everyone uses a GPU so not all PSUs are made to handle a GPU.

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

AMD FX 8350 CPU / R9 280X GPU / Asus M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard / 8GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600 RAM / 128G OCZ Vertex 4 SSD / 256G Crucial SSD / 2T WD Black HDD / 1T Seagate Barracude HDD / Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU / Coolermaster HAF 922 Case

What is the model of the power supply?

The Powercolor R9 290/x PCS+ is also very good. It gets better temps from what i've seen.

The link is to a german site, but if you scroll down to the performance chart you'll see the vapor-x kills it (clocked highest so not a surprise)

but on this page for temps the pcs+ is the coolest

MSI lightning 290x...

But the Vapour-X is the best one to go for if you'd rather not throw away money. Other, cheaper good options are the Tri-X and PCS+

Definitely the lightning for raw power. BUT, it's really not worth it imo. It performs better than a 780 when you put a nice overclock on it, but it also is more expensive than a 780...

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Any 290x outperforms a 780 and here costs slightly more than one. 290 is best choice here :P

SuperFlower 550W Gold. I will probably spend £25 extra to get a SuperFlower 650W Fully Modular Gold

Sapphire Vapor X or the Powercolor PCS. Theirs a good review floating on the internet that compares 6-8 of the main r9 290/290x. You should check it out.

Where could I find that sepcific one?
