Hi!

I'm going to swap my 780Ti's ACX coolers with reference ones for SLI. I've found this seller on eBay. (not doing any advertising here, just looking for advices.) I'm not sure if I should trust this guy.. Here is one of the messages he sent me:

"like i said in previous message NO SCREWS HAVE TO USE YOUR OLD ONES FROM THE COOLER U R REPLACING

NOT WISE TO USE OLD THERMAL PAD THEY COST LIKE A DOLLAR ON EBAY

AND AGAIN THEY HAVE VERY MINOR SCRATCHES ON TOP AS FOR UNDERNEATH SCRATCHES DOES IT REALLY MATTER

PRICE FOR 2 80DOLLARS"

The guy doesn't know about manners or proper grammar but he has really good feedback. Here is his feedback profile and the cooler I've found:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=neunzig1984&ftab=AllFeedback&sspagename=ADME:X:CEM:US:1183

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUGE-LOT-OF-160-VGA-COOLERS-NVIDIA-AMD-BUY-ONE-OR-ALL-EXCLNT-COND-UNUSED-/191285025017?pt=US_Video_Card_GPU_Cooling&hash=item2c8979d8f9

I need some advice on what to do as I couldn't find any other seller or an option to buy these coolers.

Thank you. :)

PS: If I'm doing anything against the COC feel free to warn me and I'll do whatever is necessary.

Just use paypal, and if he scams you you get your money back, I got scammed 4 times all of which I got my money back!

this.

also, check the bad reviews if he has any. no amount of good reviews can outweigh the chance of getting something crap

Yep. If you use ebay/payal keep in mind you can always just fuck over the seller even if it's all legit, so if a scam becomes an issue rest easy. They ALWAYS side with the buyer.

Seems like a reasonable seller, but there aren't a huge number of views. PayPal is the way to go, they will always protect the buyer so there is a very slim chance of losing your money.

Guys thank you so much for the quick replies! :) The problem is seller asked me for a destination to send an invoice to. Doesn't this discard the buyer protection?

It's a reference PCB card.

why do they better in sli?

For the looks i could understand but still, i dont realy see the benefit of the blowerstyle coolers

They don't blow air on each other of course, which can be an issue on less windy cases (my English is the best), but it isn't the biggest problem with Nvidia.

Dont worry im Dutch too lol.

Anyway, yeah i do understand if you have less airflow inside your case, that it could be a benefit, however the higher sound levels and temps you will get with a blowerstyle cooler on the gpu it self, does not realy look like a benefit to me :)

I would personaly just trow an extra intake fan in the case, towards the gpu area.

The blower style and acx style sound indentical in my case. I'm using an air 540 so I see better temps with the acx, besides that reference is the way to go. Like everyone else has said, use paypal no matter what and you will be fine.
