Youtube android 1080p

Looks like youtube is sharing traits with ubisoft. It does have a hidden option to turn on 1080p videos on its android app!!!

You just need to set your android version to 4.4.2 using build prop editor and YouTube app will give you an additional 1080p option with other resolution!!!

Ps you need to have a 1080p phone

you don't have to set to 4.42, i have 4.3 and the latest youtube app and it still gives me the option to chose video quality on my note 3

build.prop is an system file where it has android version plugins version build version etc in it and it requires root to edit it.

ALSO i am running 4.4.4 and i still dont have anything higher than 360p.

720 works no prob on 4.4.4

I guess Im one of the rare one who doesn't care about 1080 on his phone. The screen too small to matter imo and 720p is a smaller footprint on my date plan which is small since I don't want to pay out of my ass for more.

thats the main thing, everybody gets option depending on their screen resolution upto only 720p

I personally don't see a difference between resolutions on mobile devices, if the phone has nice features, then it will pretty much display everything in high quality.
