Need help finding a laptop

i need some help finding a laptop with the max price of 500 USD or 400 euro.

its mainly for school but needs to be able to run games aswell .

 

anyone knows a good laptop in that price range?

asus or acer something. it's a shitty price range though because you can't get a 1080p laptop in that.

It wont be moving allot but my stepdad wants a laptop he doesnt want a desktop i also recommended it to him. and i will look @ asus ultrabooks ^^ ty for the advice,

Tell your stepdad that if you aren't going to be moving around a lot, a laptop isn't the best of ideas. A desktop would also be more serviceable.

Already told him and i look @ ur ultrabooks and cheapest one i could find is 600 euro wich is still 50% over the price range.

You might also want to elaborate upon the fact that whatever desktop you buy for that price will be better than a similarly priced laptop.

I know its not me its for my stepbrother who is 12 years old and my stepdad is stubborn as f**k i told him 100x BUILD a desktop the dad of a friend of mine even offered to build it ( who basically builds PC's for a living) but he wants a laptop incase he needs to move it around.

Desktops are pretty light; Mini ITX builds particularly. You might want to tell him that. If not, tell him to PM me here.

he just doesnt want the hassle of also moving the monitor + keyboard + cables + mouse.

what i ment with moving  was: like he wants to have 1 place for it but maybe on the couch he wants to use the laptop sometimes instead of behind the desk were it will be 80% of the time.

Get him to build a HTPC with one of those logitech wireless keyboards with trackpads on the side. Then he's got one place for it and it's on the couch.
