I'm new to mechanical keyboard what is the difference between the switch types? and also what would be a good keyboard for around $100-$120? I want it to be able to glow different colors tho.

Corsair K70 RGB

blue is loud and clicky (tactile bump)

browns are quiet(er) with a tactile bump.

reds are also quiet(er)--essentially browns, but no bump.

Blacks are heavy (higher actuation force) reds

Greens are heavy blues

Glow different colors? I think there is only that Corsair RGB one for cherry switches, unless that deal ended already. I personally have a Ducky Shine II DK9008 and I LOVE IT. Best keyboard I have ever used. If you can settle down on one color I highly recommend it, they have them in many different LED colors and switch flavors.

Corsair K70 RGB It would be out of your price range but it's a keyboard to consider because of it's customizable backlighting.

Corsair K70 because it's a great fully mechanical keyboard with a volume wheel which i like.

CM Storm Quickfire TK because it's good keyboard that is good for it's price.
