Intel Pentium G3258

Go to solution Solved by elecxonica,

I was just pondering with the idea of creating a cheap small pc(mini-itx), just for surfing the internet and possibly set up as a NAS in the future. I thought the new pentium G3258 would be perfect as its unlocked so I can have some fun overclocking, even though not needed. But does it have intergrated graphics or will I have to be running a dedicated graphics card?

The pentium had got the standard intel intergrated graphics.

If only we all could afford 8 SSD's in Raid 0

Ok thats great, I was sceptical whether it would given how cheap it is.

it has intel hd graphics, it would be better to go with a apu that has a better igpu.

For this build I care very little for the graphical horse-power all its going to be for is booting to windows, a bit of internet browsing etc.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway. :)

Yeah but tbh unless you're doing extreme push-it-to-the-limit OC's, an APU will still be better. A G3258 is really only optimal for people who play a lot of single or double-threaded games. For general use, APUs still take the crown.
