GTX 780 Power

CPU: AMP FX4100 Quad Core CPU

Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P34FX

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips! Your CPU will be bottlenecking your GPU. Best choice is to upgrade your CPU. The maximum your motherboard can do is an FX-6300. That woulld be an improvement but it's recommended you upgrade both motherboard and CPU to get the most out of the 780.

Hello everyone I just reccently upgraded my GPU to a EVGA GTX 780 and I want to play battlefield4 but I dont know if it can handle it at high settings. If anyone could help out and tell me how it preforms that would be awesome.

My Specs:

CPU: AMP FX4100 Quad Core CPU

Ram: 8GB of GDDR3 RAM

Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P34FX

If you need any other specs I'll be happy to provide them for you.

That CPU is like a Toyota while that GPU is like a Jaguar. The toyo just can't keep up and if the jag needs to wait for the toyo you can't use all the power the jag has.

upgrade to fx 6300 atleast like tomorrow.or now. 780 with a bulldozer...hard to digest

well one thing to do is upgrade your cpu to a fx 8000 one and a mobo with a 990fx, you are gonna get a bottleneck running a gtx 780 with a fx 4100.

well if he changes the mobo too he might aswell go intel
