Is this pc worth it?   It is an acer laptop it only has a HD moniter and this is the specs: GeForce GTX850M 4GB
Core i5-4210U, "Dual core @ 1.7Ghz , 2.7Boost"
8GB RAM,
1000GB SSHD,
Windows 8.1 "64 bit ofc :D"
"15.6 Inch"   It Cost 900$

You can build a much better desktop for the same price.

ASUS ROG G750JZ is a better option.

I don't understand guys like you. Get the cheapest POS-notebook for school and a nice desktop machine for your home.

I also recommend doing this...

 

My POS eMachines D732z is almost turning 5 (at my hands)... She's a tough one (dropped twice, disassembled a few more, got wet in the rain)...

 

Just don't get anything too low end and you'll just end up getting pissed...

I wish people would stop spouting "You can build a desktop lelelelel it'll be cheaper than that laptop lelele". No shit, Sherlock.

 

 

OP, that laptop's price is not worth the hardware it comes with. If you want something better for the money, look at Asus, Lenovo or dare I say Alienware.
