Is the cable plugged in to the GPU or MOBO?

He said that the GPU doesnt require power from the psu, it just needs to be in the pci-e slot.

Hey go to http://imgur.com/ and then upload the pictures of the inside of your computer and the rear panel of the computer...where your DVI cable is plugged in. Then post the link to the album in this thread.

one of the monitors doesn't switch between anything it just says no signal then goes black.  The other one i cycled through all the settings and none worked. The last one is a T.V. monitor so it doesn't have DVI but i have tried it with an HDMI.  I don't know what it could be but here are the pictures and if you want anything more specific ask and ill show them.

Hey if you still haven't gotten it to work, put the graphics card in the top blue PCI-e 16x slot...you put it in the wrong slot

it was just there for testing. i have changed pci slots multiple times.  Good idea though sadly it doesn't work:(.  I have looked at the receipt and it turns out that the graphics card is refurbished, used, or opened and i think that is the problem. Im going to replace it tomorrow and hope it works

I noticed in your pics you have the RAM installed wrong. Both sticks should be in same coloured slots ( either blue or black).

ya i took it to a hacker space i know and had a guy there look at it.  He fixed the ram(however i have tried it with just one stick before in all 4 slots so that shouldn't have been the problem) he also moved where the gpu heatsink was being plugged in (but again thats just a fan and shouldn't affect the computer too much) and he did nothing else but for some reason it worked for him and it worked for me when i brought it back home.... i don;t know what it was but at least it works.  i have noticed though that the DVI cable is not secure as well as it could be and that if i bump it the wrong way the monitor loses a signal. So the problem could have just been the the cable wasn't plugged in all the way.  If thats the case then i feel stupid but who cares at least it's working now
