Random PC shutdowns.

Go to solution Solved by Jeredenare,

Apparently my CPU was reading lower temps than it actually had so it ended up being the pump in my corsair h60 died. But now everything is running properly. Unfortunately I went out and bought a newnew corsair cx750, but at least I have a good power supply. Thanks for all the help! :)

I've recently had some issues with my pc shutting down unexpectedly. My specs are on my profile if you're interested. Anyway, I had thought I might have overloaded my outlet so I unplugged everything and now I only have my monitors and my PC plugged into it, and it worked for a little while and then it started happening again, and I think it's probably an overheating so i figured I would check the CPU and GPU temps thinking that they might be the problem, but again, it still shuts down. I think it might me the RAM overheating since I've been playing a lot of FTB Monster which is a heavily modded Minecraft. So I was wondering if the PC would shutdown if the RAM got too hot, and if so, how would i go about cooling it?

(side note: I've kept my side panel open since before I had any shutdowns)

What Bubblewhale said. Faulty PSU is very propable. Faulty RAM shutting down your PC completely is very unlikely.
