Which to get?

Go to solution Solved by bsaeagle5,

Yes this should be fine as long as you only use one graphics card it only has one 6 pin and one 8 pin so you wont be able to use it in sli with an old card but should be fine if you are only powering the 780. If you decide in the future to upgrade your power supply,   EVGA power supplies are relativity inexpensive compared to other high end power supplies and they come with a 10 year warranty so they are a good option on a budget or for any build.

if you get a better price for the 290, go for that since more vram w/ 2 displays will benefit you for doing whatever you might find yourself doing *fapfapfap*

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

True but the extra vram would only help well gaming with both monitors which is not impossible but very unlikely because they are different pixel density ratios and different sizes which would not make for a great gaming experience and also most games only support a single monitor or 3 not 2 . Also monitors don't take up  that much ram even if there was 3 1080p monitors a single gtx 780 will handle it fine and the one more gig of vram would most likely not help

The 780 from Asus if a great choice congratulations on picking out the card. Just another thing to think about make sure your power supply has an extra 6 pin and 8 pin connector to plug in the gpu because although the wattage should be sufficent you don't want to get a new graphics card and then find out while installing it you need to order a new power supply too.
