hello! dube here! I am a very big noob at networking, so I am wondering if anyone can answer this question? I have a secondary router, and i want to have it so it acts as a hub for my other connections. What i mean by that is i want it so it connects to my main router, then through the WLAN ports, i can connect my pc and consoles. Can I actually do that? And if so how do I do it? the 2nd router is a D-Link Dl-524

Firstly a router isnt a hub. You can bridge the routers together using bridging mode or just plug up the network cables to the 2nd router an configure an static LAN IP address that is in your address pool. Everything else will pass through the 2nd router, you can even try without the static IP address, it oftens works.

It sounds like what you want is a switch more than anything.

If you have a main router and then wish to connect more devices to it (Like Accidetx13) started to exaplin kinda like a bridge. Then you can use a switch. Just use a cable from the switch to the router then plug in all your devices to the new switch.

It will connect all your devices to the internet (If the router has internet) and you can even buy a wireless switch to provide wireless devices to connect to it.

If you plan to stream video or play MP games however, make sure you buy a switch that supports gigabit ethernet. (In simple terms, it's fast)

If you need anything else explained in more detail be sure to let us know.
