Steam currently has a Linux client in beta, I'd try checking that out. Gabe Newell has said in interviews that he hopes to eventually have every game on Steam running on Linux, so keeping an eye on that wouldn't be a bad idea. There are already some on there you could try.

Speaking of those games make sure to check out humble indie bundle, its awesome. Roccard or something like that is a pretty cool game. Its a physics platformer thing. If you like gratuitous space battles that might be another one for you, but I suck really bad at it.
