Intel cooler replacement

MaartenDekkers
Go to solution Solved by heavygrounds,

Yeah.. Didn't think of that. I'll probably buy the 212 evo. But how silent is it?

I find it to be the best for its price. If you want ultimate silence, replace the fan that comes with the heatsink and you'll be gold.

The Intel cooler is very loud so I want to replace it. I found the Gelid Solutions Siberian, but it's not really available anywhere. Anny suggestions? I don't overclock so I don't need a big cooler or anything like that.

Don't replace if you can't spend more than $15

Emmh... Maybe consider killing yourself before you talk to me?

Pople on this forum though some of them had a brain, turns out, no.

If you do not want to spend more than 15$ you're going to end up with a cooler which performs just as bad as the stock Intel one...

INTEL I7 4790K @4.6Ghz |  ASUS Z97-A  |  CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 1866Mhz 16gb | NVIDIA GTX 780 | NZXT H440 White | CORSAIR RM750 | SAMSUNG 840 EVO | WD Caviar Black 1TB | LIQUID COOLED |

by performance i mean noise as well... cheap coolers are usually loud, so i would recommend a cheap heatsink and a decent fan if you want silence.

for 15 dollars you won't get anything good, you're better off finding a used good cooler.
