try another pcie slot. specs?

i had a motherboard before that died so sadly now i just have a matx board for the moment. specs are in my signature

does it work when you remove the gpu after the failure?  Do you have integrated graphics or an old graphics card you can test this against?  It could be several different issues...

i have an i5, so integrated graphics are fine but as anyone on this site knows (except for the people in the console thread) you need a gpu for gaming. it does boot and stay on after taking out the gpu so it is very likely its either conflicting with something or is flat out dead
