I'm going to be doing an install of windows 7 

Which drivers do you actually need for my ASUS M5A97 evo R2.0 motherboard

Qualified Vendor List (4)

Hotfix (2)

BIOS (13)

BIOS-Utilities (2)

Chipset (4)

AUDIO (4)

LAN (3)

USB (3)

Utilities (22)

SATA (4)

Manual (12)

 

I take it everything besides Manual, Bios Utilities and I don't even know what the hotflix or Qualified vendor list are

That's about correct. Anything that sounds like an add-on Asus utility is unnecessary. You don't need "Utilities" either, unless there's something specific you want.
