My wireless pcie networking card says on the box compatible with windows xp, vista, 7. I bought windows 8 and haven't built my pc yet. Is there any way to make this card work with windows 8?

Would help if you could let us know what card it is specifically.

Another problem I have with it is that it comes with a tiny 8cm disk. Will this disk be read by my regular sized cd reader?

Yes, those are called MiniCDs and they work on any computer just fine, it won't damage your drive, trust me.

I used to work in a PC Shop for quite a while, and never had any issue with driver discs of this size on any customer's system.

EDIT : The guy just found you a nice 8.1 compatible driver, knock yourself out.

Stop bloating nonsense, and reason to contribute in a constructive manner.

For the record, almost anything that works in Windows 7, will work in 8/8.1
