Hello, I'm new to this forum, and "semi new" to building PC, I've read and watch and done a lot of research on computer parts, and building guide, videos and articles, but I've never actually build one before myself (ikr, im a theory guy), but since I've saved up some money, I'm planning to actually build one for real.

So I've picked out all the essential components, and I want you guys opinions on it, please DO NOT leave hateful comments or anything like that, if you think something isn't compatible, let me know, don't scream at me, thanks! :)

CASE: Cooler Master HAF 922

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

MOBO: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
PSU: Rosewill 850W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Monitor: don't have one picked out, please let me know which one is best for price (preferably under $200) at decent Hz and native 1080, preferably 20~25 inch

Link to the full list: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/isurvivorz/saved/hXkWGX

I'm quite unsure about the MOBO, RAM, and PSU, so if anyone know which other MOBO, RAM or PSU fit better for this setup, let me know! Another thing, since it is the i5 4670k, which I read from reviews and feedback, produce terrible amount of heat and gets really hot, should I get an aftermarket heatsink now? or is the stock one work just fine? I'm not planning to OC right away or even 5 or 8 months down the line, just stock speed, but my PC will be on a lot, and I play games like: (also if you have similar setup, let me know what's the performance, FPS, and stability during games, and your games settings as well)

Battlefield 4 (high/med settings)

CS:GO (hig/med settings)

TF2 (max out)

Titanfall (max out)

BF3 (high/med settings)

ALSO, since i'm getting a bigger hard drive, is it better to get two (or more) 1TB's and RAID (or combined them) together? or is it better to get one big hard drive?

Thanks alot :)

I would suggest getting a EVGA ACX card just because of the better warranty! Enjoy that side of the green team.

And the RAM is fine, that is a little overpower PSU, maybe look for a seasonic or corsair RM seires PSU. (650-750W)

wow thats some fast reply xD, but ye I was planning to get an SSD too, but its kinda out of the budget, what already on there will run me $1200+, but in the future, or whenever they go on sale, i will definitely pick one up for sure.

Also i updated the original post, highlighted it so please take a look and let me know!

the stock cooler is fine(unless you'll do mild OC then get the 212 evo). Are you planning to do SLI? If not, find a good 500-650w psu. 850w is overkill with only one GPU.

Ye i know the PSU is a lil overpowered, but I usually tend to go a bit over just in case or safe measures, better be safe and sorry right? :P

sorry for multiple posts in a row, but what brand would be best for PSU, within that price range and close to the watt that the rosewill offer?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139055&cm_re=RM850-_-17-139-056-_-Product (More efficient, Quieter, 750W for your price)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151108&cm_re=seasonic_850W-_-17-151-108-_-Product (Better quality than rosewill, less features than corsair)

Thanks i'll look into them :D

UPDATE: I went on the newegg.ca site and look for the same models, the corsair one cost more, and isn't on sale, the seasonic cost more but is currently on sale, but i will keep both of them in mind when i do my purchasing and will get the corsair if it is on sale at the time i purchase, thanks!

Dont forget to make room in your budget for an OS... i almost did that on  my first build

yes i did take that into account, OS will be W8.1 pro 64 bit, but I just donno where to get it yet, probably just gonna run out to a retail and get the retail version for better support from microsoft if i need it, and retail i think also better if let say in the future i upgrade mobo or hard drive or components or do anything that require reactivation, i can reuse the same key (correct me if i'm wrong on that)

<snip>

I was a bit unsure of the budget so I left it at what you had already.

I've tweaked it to allow SLI of the 770 in the future, also left out a cooler as the stock one will do just fine in the meantime. Just be sure to grab a 240mm cooler like the H100i if you're keen to push the CPU really hard. I managed to get a 256GB SSD in as well as the 2TB Seagate.

To answer your question regarding going single or dual drives: it is better to go single, firstly on price, secondly on the fact that data loss chances double when you add a second drive. Unless you are running RAID1 on them, I'd hope you would be backing up externally! Even on a single drive you should back up, but that's beside the point.

And lastly, for a monitor:

Monitor: LG 24MP55HQ-P 60Hz 23.8" Monitor  ($169.00 @ Canada Computers)
Total: $169.00
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

24" IPS 1080p 60Hz, can't go wrong!

MAXIMUS VII HERO | i7 4770K w/ H100i | 2x8GB 1600MHz | GALAX GTX 970 x2
250GB SSD boot | 250GB x2, 1TB SSD storage | Corsair 400C | Corsair RM550
