I've been looking to supplement my small home theater setup (apartment) with a sound bar as my current bookshelf speakers are not quite cutting it. What have you guys and girls been using and how do you like or dislike your configuration over a conventional 2.1 setup? (5.1 or 7.1 would be nice but not feasible).

A mostly play movies/content from my PC over hdmi to my tv or watch blu-rays via a xbox one.  I use a set of M50'S for personal listening but I'M looking for a more group watching friendly configuration.

I've tried them and they're pretty good but the next step up I wouldn't find very economically feasible.

The HT-CT660 is the best spend, the 2 cheap ones are pretty shit compared to the CT660, but HAIL THE ST7! The CT660 is great, and the ST7 is HOLY SHITBALLS THIS IS GOOD!

Most people on the forum I see look down on Sony. "Why the fuck would you buy that?!"

Sony make good products, it's just that their cheap stuff is horrendous.

That is one of the last Sony flagship products, right under the dying XBR range of TV's. :(

Sony is kinda dying. They need to do some serious shit to get back to the podium.

Sony was always too ambitious for their own good. (I liked them for that) The VAIO Z series was a great example.

Starting at $2000 for a core i5 and going to well over $6000 for the Quad core.

Great design, shit keyboard and speakers.

"For the worlds chosen few"

No shit.

Their phones are great though, and while not at the Nexus level, easy to unlock and do dev stuff. Too bad my Acro S' power to the display backlight is broken. If I get an Android phone, it'll be a Sony. Also the Acro S was the first good Android waterproof phone.

I own a Z1. The thing was past it's time, and still out preforms the GS5. And shoves the HTC One M8 and G3 out of the way.

I have owned 3 VAIOs, the E series was the best laptop I have ever used, the Fit was powerful, kinda like the Y50, and the Flip has caused me endless problems. (Their last computer)

The reason I don't like Android's nowadays is the big displays. The only good small Android is the Z1 Compact, and that's still a bit large. This is why I'm happy with my iPhone 4, sure it's not very fast but it's fluid and fast when using it, oh and it's small!

I went from a Razr M (Same body size as the 4/4S) and got a Z1, the thing is massive, people call it a tablet. But, surprisingly, I love it.

Sure it's big, I thought it would be a problem, but it's a million times better than the Razr M and I loved that phone.

I text in class with one hand and I'm 14 and have smallish hands (Linus sized)

No, I have super small hands, I have to use two hands to text (one hand is possible), i'm the last person to use the Z1.

whaaaaaaaaa? I have to be able to reach the top left corner of the screen with my right thumb comfortably for me to get a phone.

I deal with it, somehow.

But the Quad-Core is enticing, and 441ppi is beyond amazing.

Eh, anything more than 320 (Apple 'Retina') is fine for me.

Also, the camera replaced my Nikon and the waterproofness is the most useful feature.

The waterproofness was a more of a party trick for me as I take really good care of my phone.

I wash mine in the sink (Got sunscreen off my face onto the screen when I was talking) and it just is nice to know that if someone spills water on your phone (On the table, or in your pocket) it will be safe.
