I have had a go with chrome os and dont personally like it...  The device that came with it was quite simply turned into a windows notebook!

I won't use it unless Chromebooks are really cheap.

the point of Chrome OS is that everything is in the cloud, so game support is already out of the question

I would only pay 100 dollars or less, the cheapest for a Chromebook is about 200 dollars.

No, Google pretty much designed Chrome to tracking users so they're tracking you on the kernel level mention Android (Cyanogen Mod) is still Much better, so Debian it is for me.

Maybe if i got like a shitty old laptop or something.

 

If it was a newer laptop/desktop i'd probably just use linux if Windows was out of the picture.
