Hi all,

I am currently wanting another gpu as my current r2 290 is powering three monitors and i cant record anything because its under so much load. I am looking to spend around £50 on a AMD gpu to power 2 1080p screens and my 290 to power a single 1440p.

Any help is great.

Thanks

If you don't use all three monitors while gaming, the 290 should have no problem whatsoever. Still, if you want the 290 to use all available performance for the monitor running the game, you could get something like an hd 7750.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Having a second GPU won't help much. Running two 1080p monitors with a webpage or w/e on them will only take up less than 5% GPU power.

would turning onboard graphics back on be a way around this or would this be detrimental

Wouldn't make any sense and you would incur in driver issues. If you need another gpu, make it an amd one so it shares the driver with the 290.
