Which drive for windows 8?

i had an old laptop which broke so i thought of just using it instead of it laying around.... :D ..... the reason i want to install it on the 100gb is because the from facotr is smaller to since its a 2.5inch os itll be easier to store on "trips" and because i want the 1tb to be for things like movies,games, etc. , what would be the disadvantages of installing it on the 100gb? Also does buffer size matter?

 

The disadvantages of the 100GB will be that it's older... so three things. One is that it's going to be noticeably slower, two is that it's smaller in space so you'll have to install your programs elsewhere anyways (like a 120GB SSD), and three is that it has a higher likelihood of failing eventually vs the newer 1TB

I have 2 HDDs. they are the same RPM, one is 1tb and the other 100 gb. I want to install windows on the 100 gb one but the buffer size is lower then the other. The 1 tb is 64mb while the 100gb is 16mb. Should i install windows 8 on the 1tb or 100gb? does buffer size make a difference?

What are you doing with a 100GB hard drive lol

 

Install it on the 1TB.
