witcher 3 amazon preorder

Go to solution Solved by Askew,

No, it's DRM free, that includes Steam because Steam is DRM.

I also have preordered that edition, I'm keeping it, you can add non steam games to your library and launch them from Steam/use Steam overlay just the same.

yo guys, quick question..

i preorderered witcher 3 limited edt., u know with the plastic gerald and griffon, and my question is: is that synced with steam? because if not i am getting the pre order on steam right now ^_^

It's geralt. GeralT. GERALTTTTTTT! Why can't people understad that? It's so easy!

By the way, it's probably not a steamworks version, why would it be when they have their own distribution platform in the form of gog.com. I can guarantee though that you will get a copy on gog.com though. And gog galaxy is coming out soon.

Okay, nah I'm also keeping it, but will purchase the steam one aswell ^^ I feel like cd project deserves every penny they can get, they nailed it with their games so far, witcher 2 not so much but i can live with that ;)

This happened to me, I have the retail and steam versions of 1 and 2 (non collectors editions) and because I got them so late and so ridiculously cheap I thought fuck it I will order the CE of 3.

I do like the idea of hanging the medallion on my wall.

Oh PS if you have steam or retail versions of 1 or 2 you can activate them on gog and receive free backup copies on your gog account.

I like cdpr, they are doing loyalty discount on pre orders on gog for owners of previous titles, if you didn't buy them on gog you can just activate your other versions and have the discount anyway.

Also, because I am in the UK, if I buy witcher 3 on gog, they see that the effective price I'm paying in £ converts to more than US customers will pay in $, so they add the difference to your gog account to spend on different games, if I bought it from Amazon I wouldn't see that benefit and they also make less on the purchase so their system works both ways.

Things like the above are why I like them.

That is so true bro, so true.

I totally agree on that and I wish they will keep up that attitude towards the gaming community, it benefits them and us all.

Yes, and even if you didn't like witcher 2 that much you can't argue with the free 10gb patch to the enhanced edition, AFAIK there has been no paid DLC for either witcher game.

I do expect that to change now however, in an interview with the developers that I saw they were discussing the possibility of DLC for 3, they said it is possible but any paid DLC will be substantial pieces of game, it will remain to be seen how that pans out but I remain confident.

Another to watch from them is of course Cyberpunk 2077, I am hoping that is the next major project for them and that the upcoming witcher mmo doesn't suck up all their time.
