Hello, for a while I have been planning on building my first system (that of which I'm still waiting on the case only) in the Carbide Air 240. However circumstances have sprung up, which I'll spare you the details of, in which I could swap my original MATX motherboard for a mini ITX one. This opens up the option of my favorite ITX case the windowed blue prodigy.

The PC may go on occasional LAN parties but not often, however I will need to carry it up and down the stairs of my house with ease. I don't plan on having Sli or crossfire in my rig, or passing 8gb of ram so expansion isn't an issue. However I would like to eventually by equipment for water cooling my CPU.

I know this is a harder question to answer as one case isn't even out yet, but I'm an impatient person :D.

Which do you think would be best?

There is the prodigy M, which is an mATX version of the prodigy, so there is that. But the air 240 is a decently designed case, better laid out than the prodigy/prodigy M IMO as you can fit larger PSUs and it's dust filtered, which the prodigy is not.

Yeah I thought about the prodigy M for a long time before I decided against it due to its internal layout and the fact that it only came in white or black, so I decided on the Air 240. For some reason the prodigy doesn't look appealing to me in the basic black or white even though most cases do. :P

Also I have a corsair cx 600 which should fit in both cases =)

White with a mesh grille looks quite good, almost like the old Mac Pro. I was close to doing a mATX build in the prodigy m, but I decided it was a foolish move based on its limitations, so I've gone for an ATX system and case instead.

The ITX seems to have a better internal layout and more options in my opinion. However I really like the look of the handles, and the fact that it will elevate it off a surface enough to be useful, as well as an easy way to carry it. But the 240 looks like cable management will be a breeze and look nice, especially being able to flip which side the windows on. However waiting another month for it to come out is sounding harder and harder daily.

The main issue with the prodigy I find is the psu length area, and the lack of dust filters. For the price of it, the front could at least be filtered.

I expected a decent amount of people to support the prodigy considering there are a lot of builds with it, however it seems everyone's liking the air 240.

The Prodigy is a proven ITX case, fitting potent builds in an ITX form, but its layout doesn't come anywhere near close compared to the Air 240. But if you need portability, the Prodigy gets my vote. You can't go wrong with either one though.
