Selecting new ssd

i would like to use ssd for my future builds. I had a confusion regarding ssd selection. I would like install os and softwares in ssd ie C: drive and use a hdd for data storage.

 

My guys mostly use Adobe photoshop cc and Illustrator cc. And some low level video editing. 

 

My doubt is when selecting SSD's what should i need to look for? Is read/write speed is essential?

 

How can i install  and setup in two storage devices?

Can't help you on some of those points but I definitely suggest you look into getting a Samsung Evo, Great SSD.

Most SSD that are decent should be fine. I like the MX100(only 256GB or more because of the $/GB ratio) for the price.
