You should be able to upgrade it in theory, as the GPU most likely uses a standard MXM socket, but with what and the availability of different heatsinks to fit the GPU, I don't know.

On some laptops you really have to disassemble most of it to replace the GPU (risky). Also check that yours isn't soldered on.

If I remember correctly, the M15x used an MXM 3.0 card, so in theory you should be able to upgrade to something even as powerful as the 880M (though there's a good chance that a 880M would be bottlenecked by the CPU).. I believe the best bang-for-buck mobile GPU that I know for a fact works is the 7970M..
