Need Desperate Help!

Hello,

The past few months I have been attempting to troubleshoot a problem with my new computer.

Problems:

Wont Output to a Screen

Error Code 55 (No Memory Installed)

What I Have Done:
Bought New RAM

Replaced the Motherboard

Tried Multiple Cables to Connect to my Monitor

Tried Different RAM Lanes

Cleared CMOS Multiple Times

System Specs:

Intel i7 4770k CPU w/Corsair H105

AsRock Z97 Extreme6 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4GB 1600MHz RAM

Sapphire Vapor-X 290X GPU

Kingston HyperX 3k 240GB SSD

2TB Samsung HDD

Corsair RM650 PSU

What can I do to fix this?

Try your CPU in a different computer, or try a different CPU in yours.

After what you've tried already, I would say this is your most likely culprit.

Process of elimination my friend.

unfortunately this can be a costly exercise.

I removed the graphics card and plugged the hdmi/dvi into the onboard and still no luck with the same error.

Is the CPU the most probable cause?

Any and all theories will be welcome

I never had this issue personally but a friend of mine had the same issue. Changed as well the board and the damn thing didn't want to post on the screen.

He was going through a couple of days trial and error but he was so desperate finally that he removed the battery from the board and waited a minute. After this he started the pc and it looked like it didn't help but then the PC booted up and the issue was gone for good.

I don't know if that helps you at all, but at least it could be worth a try.

I had an issue similar to this recently and what it turned out to be was the graphics card wasn't seated in the PCI-e slot. I had to push it in the slot quite hard to get it to seat. It's worth a try.

My theory is that the memory controller is on the cpu with newer intel chips. So if you've changed the motherboard and the memory the only point loft in the memory circuit is the cpu.

the controller is indeed on the cpu itself, RMA it if possible.
