Hello guys, just wanted to report this since this has happened to both myself and a friend of mine.

We both bought Xbone controllers about a month ago as we were gearing up to play Dark Souls 2. A few days ago, my R1 button started having issues where it would not register R1. This is further confirmed by staring the advanced controller options and looking at the button presses, it misses approximately 3/4 of all presses. I hadn't told my friend since I figured it must've just been my rotten luck, having replaced my dualshock3 controller after years of service after it fell from my desk, but then he just told me today that his R1 was having serious issues as well.

Since we're both in a country where Microsoft doesn't have an official warranty for Xbox, we're SOL on that front. I'm going to dismantle it and hope that it's some design flaw that lets a lot of fingercrud build up.

Other issues; thumb sticks sand themselves against bump stops of controller casing, leaving white residue (finely ground plastic). The pop-off screw covers around the wings makes the controller look nice but it also makes the controller creak in hand (something I really hate).

3 of my friends have had serious issues with the £20 rechargable battery packs, where the micro USB connector broke off from inside the controller,
