Hello everyone.

I'm planning to build a new PC for gaming soon.

My budget is around the price of this build.

Does my parts have any potencial bottleneck?

Should i switch anything in this build?

Part List:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4930k

Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Black Edition

Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB(4x4) 2133Mhz CL9

VGA: EVGA GTX 780 ti Superclocked (2 way SLI)

Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D

Power Supply: Corsair AX1200i

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 2x

Fans:

Radiator: Corsair SP120 PWM Quiet Edition 2x

Front Intake: Noctua NF-P14s Redux 1200 2x

Back Exhaust: Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition

Monitor: Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM

Peripherals:

Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB

Headset: Audio-technica ATH-ADG1

Mouse: Steelseries Rival

Mousepad:Corsair MM600

Corsair Individually sleeved cable kit + 24pin.

So, budget should be around:4500$

I know of lot of stuff is unnecessary and overpriced, but i pick up everything at factory price+shipping. So i'm not gonna pay 4500$ at the end.

I might build a custom loop and add 1 or 2 more monitor(s) in the future.

Also, the 1200 power supply is to have headroom for future upgrades.

Any suggestions?Any potential bottlenecks?

Should i go with superclocked Video cards or not?I want to stick with the reference design because it looks too sexy.

The IPS monitor is because i prefer image quality and color accuracy over fast response times because i don't really play any FPS games.

Thanks in advance.

Riot.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention i'm bringing my OCZ-Vertex 3 from the old build into this one.Should i get a 2nd SSD for raid 0?

That's WAY.TOO.MUCH money invested in CPU and mobo

By the way, Dell Ultrasharp 27'' is pretty good but also expensive, I'd recommend something like Asus PB278Q

I heard that 800 series might not reach the peformance of the 780ti?I'm i wrong?

that wouldn't make any sense at all if nvidia did that.

I didn't say it was a waste, I just say that Op's investing a lot of money on cpu and mobo which is pretty overkill for gaming

What about an SSD ?, seems to be the only thing missing from this build.

What do you think about the Viewsonic VP2770?It is a bit on the pricey side but i read that it has better colors, quality control and no bleeding. If that's true i can shell out a little more for a better experience.

That build looks nice but i still want to go with EVGA because of customer service and reference because it looks too sexy :P

Also, I want the system to be eye candy that's why i want to go with the ASUS board and Dominator RAM.But thanks for the suggestion on those SSDs.I will consider that.Maybe an ASUS RAIDR Express for the games.

I don't need the windows 8 tho.I use little "modified" version of windows 7.

There's nothing better than seeing the monitor for yourself than listening to people telling what monitor, same thing for audio. If you've already seen the monitor and prefer it then get it

Sadly the only thing we have in my town is a Media Markt that doesn't have that big range of displays and stuff. So i also have to read a lot of reviews and i'm lucky if i can try it out in real life.

I would prefer Dell Ultrasharp than anything else but their 27''+ is expensive compare to AOC, Asus

BTW, you should go with 4790K and invest on a custom loop rather than 4930K and custom loop later. That i7 is will not bottleneck anything for gaming, here's my idea http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6WxLFT. With 1000$ leftover you can spend on a pretty decent loop and peripherals

I don't want to go with the Asus monitor because it has PWM Backlight and people tend to say very bad things about that.

As someone sitting infront of the Monitor 8-14 hours a day.Playing games, also working as web-designer next year, my eyes are bad already and start to hurt and be dry often.I don't want to put more stress on them.

I mostly wanted to go with the Black edition board because the eye candy and i can shell out money for it.

I have always used air-cooling so getting used even to AIO is gonna be hard because having water in my pc, i might not sleep at night very well, let alone with a custom-loop but i will consider that configuration.I really like that RAIDR Express.I hope the thing about it's speed isn't just marketing.

Also, if i can work out to get the watercooling parts at factory price too it should come fairly cheap.

Going for a X79 for a pure gaming pc is just plain silly imo. You won't get any better performance from that cpu than you would from an i5 4690K in 99% of games. Just stick with a haswell build.

Keep in mind i get everything at factory price.Fairly cheaper than in the store. And 6 core, 12 threads should be more future proof isn't it?

Why do you need workstation-like CPU anyway? For gaming you should focus on how your GPU performs

Considering that i already have 2 780ti-s planned and might get a 3rd one later on i don't think i have to worry about the GPU performance. And i don't have the agreement for factory prices lifetime.Only a little more than 1 year.So better get the best CPU that i don't have to upgrade in a few years probably.

Then wait for Haswell-E, X99 and DDR4 RAM if you can afford
