Need opinions on a thermal compound

I have been using a laptop and I was wondering if using a aftermarket thermal compound will improve temperature. If so, what kind of thermal compound will be good?

It couldn't hurt. The best are Arctic MX-4, Noctua HT-H1, Prolimatech PK-1 and IC Diamond. A lot of people recomend Arctic Silver 5 but I find it turns into super glue basically.

if you're cheap like me, and run out of the good stuff, the stock cooler master paste in the purple tube is probably the best "free" TIM if you have any lying around, which I always seem to lol.
