Hi! I've been working on my first PC build for the past 3-4 hours or so and almost plugged in all the stuff..

I got a GTX 780 which has a 6-pin and an 8-pin and the motherboard i have (Gigabyte Z97X-SLI) has a cable with a 6-pin+2 and a 4-pin but together.. ill show u my paint skills what i mean the cable being together.

The thing is im not sure thats how to do it, but i thats just my guess how it works, im a total newbie at this and i need whatever help i can C:

@Nadbuddy What power supply do you have installed in your desktop?

I'm having a huge problem with understanding of what you're trying to convey here.

The 780 only requires a 8 & 6pin pci-e power

I'd like to also mention don't plug the 8 pin eps for your cpu into your gpu 8 pin. It'll not boot up.

You plug it in the way you have it done on paint...

Oh yeah don't worry.. i found that 4+4 pin cable and couldnt fit it anywhere else.. so i put it somewhere nearby the CPU.. on an 8pin   :)

WELP: It seems like people agree to my professional paint picture so i guess i'll start plugging shit in again after i get some sleep..

Oh by the way.. any tips on how i can kinda.. tidy up the cables? I get depressed looking at the cables all around. :(
