It's all down to personal preference as there's not actually an ideal resolution. I personally prefer a mediumish screen so I usually stick with my 24" 1920 x 1080 BenQ XL2420TX.

There is no ideal resolution. You buy the monitor that you need for work space area and budget.

As for TV size, you need to measure the distance between you on your sofa and the location of the TV, and based on that, you'll have the good size of the TV to get, where you won't see shaggies, and have a sharp and nice image, by the low resolution for it's size TV.

The ideal resolution depends on what you are looking for, and what you plan on doing with the monitor. If you have a large budget many people get 2560 x 1600 monitors, as essentially everything looks better on it. However, it really depends on your usage scenario.

With either a GTX 670 or GTX 680 I would strongly recommend 1920x1080. Any lower resolution won't be as sharp plus the need for anti-aliasing is less with this resolution of display. Any higher resolution would cause these cards to drop below 30 frames at high settings in games. unless you going to opt for a card with 4GB of ram.

By the way, go easy Grammar Nazis I'm dyslexic;'#';[p#'; (I'm pretty sure a full stop should go there somewhere :D)

I have a GTX680 2gb running at 2560 x 1600. It gets around 30 - 40 fps in most games at a good detail.

At that res you need 0 Antialising as at that resolution the pixels are so dense you would notice no difference between 0 and 8 FXAA/MSAA/AA

Running at this high res is epic and I would never consider going back to 1080p
