Headset mic won't shut off.

I am currently using Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2. While using it I cannot disable the mic, i tried the built in mic mute, i tried disabling through recording devices, i tried lowering volume all the way through the corsair headset control panel, i also tried resetting my computer, reinstalling drivers and unplugging and replugging in, and yet the mic won't shut off. everything is up to date. please help, because in order to stay cool i have a fan blowing on me and the mic keeps picking it up and produces the irritating sound of blowing in a mic.

What do you mean by don't shut off? It won't shot off completely, you will always see mic-input at Recording Devices in Windows I think.

How do you know that the mic isn't shut off btw?

I know its staying on is because when i use the headset and a fan is pointed at me directly and nothing is playing atm, i keep hearing the annoying sound you hear when you record wind with a mic and no windblocker or whatever those foam things are.
