Question about ebay shipping multiple items.

Luke

Hi this question is aimed at anyone who has experience with ebay. If i buy multiple things from the same buyer (all different items) and the shipping price is included in each item (for example each item is $20 + 10 shipping) is he allowed to package it all together to save on shipping costs for himself? I want to contact the seller and ask if he can bundle all of it together and possibly cut down the shipping cost for each of us but if he's allowed to package the items together in the first place i don't think he would bring the price down.

If anyone knows i would appreciate the help. Thanks =)

You can ask the sellers, most seller on ebay do this option. They ether ship at a reduced rate or sometimes free.

he can send them together but i dont think he will change the price because the price is based on the weight of the items

down to the seller, I've both bought and sold multiple items where the shipping doesn't discount, and where it does.

Most of them have a shipping cost but state that a second or third product would only be a fraction of the full price but it depends on the seller. You could ask them, I don't see why most of them couldn't.

The shipping price is based on weight only if you enter the dimensions/weight etc and let ebay calculate the shipping. Most sellers put their own shipping cost.

The added shipping cost of each item is going to come out to be $90. The actual shipping cost (if bundled together) will be about $45.

Edit: Actual shipping cost does increase with weight though you're right. But if you shipped 5 packages that weighed 5 pounds each it would cost a lot more than if you shipped a single 25 pound package.
