This is something new Google has implemented and I am more than amazed at its accuracy. I don't actually have a source for this.

 

When using latest chrome version you now get a little microphone on the right hand side of your search box. If you do not have the latest version of chrome you have to update it in the settings.

 

When you click the little microphone it does speech to text in the search box. What amazing about this is that it is incredibly accurate. It's an amazing achievement.

i'll have to give this a go, so far these voice recognition software attempts have been awful.

Holy shit LOL. It's pretty cool how it accurate it is even when I was whispering.

Exactly what I thought, I took it as a joke and said something in Fluent English not word by word and it reproduced it perfectly.

I'm disappointed they haven't integrated this further. There could for example be a button in the url bar of chrome with the mic button. As it is not I can only use it after searching something in google. Which is not the point.
