Whats the difference?

I cant tell what the difference between MSIs' z97 gaming 5 and the G45 mobos actually are. I mean the websites like stupid weird with no actual usefull info. So can anyone help tell me what the difference is?

 

Also i figured this would be a good place for anyone to ask the difference between different motherboards, CPUs' and memory since it's pretty much the most commonly asked question on the entire forum.

Gaming 5 doesn't have MSI signature brown PCB, and probably has more features

The only practical difference that I can see is that the G45 has an mSATA slot, and the Gaming 5 has an M.2 slot.. Other than that, it seems to just be cosmetic differences.
