I am about to build my first custom made pc ever and I would like some constructive feedback cause...it always helps

 

I am listing down the parts and please leave feedback and\or recommendations:

 

- Asus Maximus VII Ranger

- Intel Pentium G3258 (plan to OC to 4.7 4.8)

- Noctua NH-U9B SE2

- HyperX Beast 8GB DDR3 2400MHz CL11 Dual Channel Kit

- Corsair Builder Series CX600M

- WD Blue 1TB SATA-III 7200 RPM 64MB (main storage)

- 2 x Kingston SSD Now 120 gb in RAID 0 (for os and main programs)

- old hdd for RAID 0 backup

- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC WindForce 2X 2GB DDR5 128-bit

- Cooler Master HAF XB EVO

 

The scope of the PC is mainly media consumption and games on ultra at 1080p

You don't need ram that fast, I recommend 1600mhz ram

And you can't sli 750ti. Get a 270

Get a cheaper motherboard, ram, drop one of the SSDs and get a better GPU.

about the motherboard, i'm really set on it. I could drop the ram to 1866 or 1600. the ssd's are already bought.

 

regarding gpu i'm also thinking about:

 

Sapphire Radeon R9 280 Dual-X OC WITH BOOST 3GB DDR5 384-bit

Don't get that really expensive ram. Also get a batter gpu. For you, something like the 770 would work great. And I know this is just my opinion, but that case is old, and pretty clunky, I would recommend finding a newer case. I really like corsair.

regarding gpu, i dont wanna go balls to the walls since i play mostly dota 2 , hitman, economic strategy games, far cry, and i will be gaming at 1080p. the case is already bought and im kinda split over buying it. perfect airflow, flat motherboard, great cable management but only 4 hdd\ssd bays
